FNN

We're excited to welcome our amazing Forest North teachers back to work on Monday, although it will be at an off-site location due to our on-going construction projects! Not to worry, our building is scheduled to open early next week. See below for some pictures and a construction update.

We also can't wait to welcome families and students next week, beginning with Welcome Walks on Thursday, August 13th. Please plan to be home between 5:00 and 7:00pm that evening to experience this special new-year greeting and to meet your child's new teacher.

*Please Note: Kindergarten, ECSE and FCC Welcome Walks will take place on Wed, August 12, also from 5-7pm.*

See you next week to kick off our new year!

Bond Construction Projects Update

The Forest North building and grounds are undergoing extensive renovation this summer, thanks to the 2024 RRISD School Bond! Here are some highlights:

- Removal of the carpet and new tile flooring installed throughout classrooms, hallways, gym and the cafeteria

- New ceilings and lighting throughout the building

- Enhanced drainage for the back of the school

- Resurfacing of the front sidewalks and breezeway

- Kiln updates

Still to come:

- New front playground (expected Fall 2026)

- Additional fencing and electronic gates for entry and exit

- Digital marquee installation

Everything is looking great so far, but it will be a tight turnaround for teachers in getting their rooms to set up prior to school starting. Thanks in advance for your grace and understanding. We will work hard next week to get the building set up and ready for Supply Drop-Off on August 17th.

Huge thanks to the voters who supported RRISD Bond 2024 as it has directly supported major improvements at our school. Forest North students have the best teachers in all of Round Rock ISD, and they deserve top-notch facilities too.

Your Application Also Supports Forest North

School Meal Benefit Applications help Forest North qualify for important state and federal funding that supports student programs and resources such as our intervention and counseling staff.

The number of qualifying students affect funding. By completing the application, eligible families help ensure our students receive the resources for which they qualify.

Unsure Whether You Qualify? Apply Anyway!

Eligibility is based on factors such as household size, income and participation in certain assistance programs.

Household circumstances can change during the year. Families may submit an application at any time, especially following a loss of employment, reduction in income or increase in household size.

Even if you’re unsure whether your family qualifies, it’s worth applying. Many families are surprised to learn they’re eligible, especially if household income or circumstances have changed.

If you have any questions about the Free/Reduced lunch application or need help filling it out, please reach out to Amy Jacobs at 512-464-6753.

New Student Enrollment is Happening Now!

Parents and Guardians of currently enrolled Forest North students (returning students and students who were registered before June 1 only) should have received an email from RRISD that explains a Texas state requirement to update your child's annual forms for the new school year. The email includes a unique Snapcode and a link to login to update those forms. If you didn't receive it, check your email spam folder. Please click the link and update your child's forms as soon as possible. Please do not re-register your student. If you update your address, also email a copy of your new proof of residency (current utility bill, signed lease or mortgage statement with the guardian or the parent's name on it) to our Registrar/Attendance Specialist, Alondra Torres-Crocker, at alondra_torres-crocker@roundrockisd.org. Be sure to include your child's name in the email. Thank you for your help!
