Campus News & Celebrations | Notes from the CCES Office & Admin |
September 18, 2026 Dear Canyon Creek Families, We had a wonderful full week of learning at CCE! It’s hard to believe the first day of fall is already Tuesday. We’re looking forward to some cooler weather making its way to us soon! Just a reminder that Monday is a student holiday. Our teachers and staff will be on campus learning and preparing, but students will enjoy a day off.
We look forward to seeing everyone back at CCE on Tuesday! Have a wonderful and relaxing extended weekend! Warmly, CCE Team |
CAMPUS SAFETY REMINDERS These first few weeks of school are especially busy, so we wanted to share a few important reminders as we work together to keep our students, families, and staff safe.
Parking & Patience: Please follow all posted parking and traffic-flow signs, including entering and exiting angled parking spaces in the designated direction. Pulling through or backing into spaces can block traffic lanes and create unsafe traffic patterns. We also appreciate everyone remaining patient and courteous as we work through the busy arrival and dismissal times.
Accessible Parking: Accessible parking spaces are reserved for vehicles displaying the appropriate disability placard or license plate. Please do not wait, park, or load/unload in these spaces unless you are authorized to do so. Dogs on Campus: Please remember that dogs are not permitted on school property. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe environment for all of our students and families. |

When Life Gives You Lemons... Make Science Vocabulary Fun!
Our Kindergarteners at Canyon Creek had a sweet and sour time turning learning into a hands-on experience! While following along with a live demonstration on how to make fresh lemonade, students explored new science and descriptive vocabulary words like observation, liquid, solid, dissolve, temperature, change, and predicition. Learning is always extra refreshing when you can see, hear, taste and talk about the results! 🍋🥤 |

| 🦖📚 Congratulations to Canyon Creek Elementary School Library! 📚🦕
We’re thrilled to celebrate Canyon Creek for receiving an Excellence in Education Grant to fund the “Jurassic Shelves” project! 🎉
The grant will help replace outdated animal nonfiction books with current print and digital resources, engaging visuals, accessible text, and materials that support diverse reading levels and languages.
From ocean animals to endangered species and student research, these new resources will inspire curiosity, strengthen literacy, and bring science to life for Canyon Creek students. 🌎🔬
Congratulations, Canyon Creek Library and Mrs. Bamford! Here’s to bringing those dinosaur books back from extinction! 🦕🎉 |

Reminders for Event RSVPs & Campus Visitors |
When submitting your RSVP to volunteer for school events—such as field trips, classroom celebrations, or special events (coffee chats, etc) —please make sure to enter your name as it appears on your legal form of identification (driver's license, passport). This helps us speed up the check-in and approval process. Thanks for your support! |
When visiting our school—whether you're picking up a student, meeting with a teacher, joining your child for lunch—please make sure to bring a physical ID with you. Photos of your ID on your phone won’t be accepted. Thanks for helping us keep everyone safe! |
