October 23, 2026 Dear Canyon Creek Families,
What a wonderful four-day week of learning at CCE! We had an exciting week filled with special events and memorable experiences. Students enjoyed our first assembly of the year featuring, Learnin’ the Ropes, an amazing jump rope show that connected perfectly with P.E.’s jump rope unit. We also welcomed our first Watch D.O.G. volunteer on campus, celebrated our second graders research reports with their annual pumpkin parade, and completed our first field trip of the year. Thank you to everyone who helped make this week go so smoothly. We are grateful for your support!
Have a fantastic weekend! We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday as we head into the final week of October. Warmly, CCE Team |

🍎 Lunch Drop-Off Reminder
A quick reminder that the lunch cart is taken to the cafeteria at 10:30 AM each day. Please have your child’s lunch dropped off by 10:30 AM so it can go to the cafeteria with the cart. Dropping off lunches by 10:30 AM also helps reduce the need to print visitor badges for quick lunch drop-offs and helps us save resources. Thank you for helping us keep lunchtime running smoothly! 💙

CAMPUS SAFETY REMINDERS We wanted to share a few important reminders as we work together to keep our students, families, and staff safe. Student Drop-Off Safety Reminder Please remember that students should only be dropped off through the designated car rider line. If you are parked in the parking lot, you must park your vehicle and walk your student to the school entrance.
For everyone’s safety, students should never get out of a vehicle and walk or run through the parking lot on their own, even if you are running late. Our parking lots have moving vehicles, and it is difficult for drivers to see students who may be walking between cars.
We appreciate your help in keeping our students safe! Please use the car rider line for drop-off or park and walk your student to the entrance. Thank you for helping us make arrival safe for everyone! |

| Reading Buddies in Action! 📚
Our 3rd-grade Comets teamed up with Kindergarten buddies last week for a special shared storytime! Third graders got to practice their expressive reading and leadership skills, while our youngest learners enjoyed listening to stories and connecting with older peers. It was a fantastic activity filled with smiles, mentorship, and a shared love for reading! |

| Jumping into Inspiration with Nick & Kaylee Woodard!
Tuesday afternoon, our CCE Comets gathered in the cafeteria for a high-energy whole-school assembly with professional jump ropers Nick and Kaylee Woodard! During the 30-minute show, the Woodwards amazed students with incredible jump rope tricks while delivering a powerful motivational talk about perseverance, practice, and aiming high. Thank you, Nick & Kaylee, for bringing so much energy and positive momentum to Canyon Creek Elementary! ☄️✨

Please do not wait, park, or load/unload in these spaces unless you are authorized to do so. Dogs on Campus: Please remember that dogs are not permitted on school property.
