Hello Spicewood Families,

Tonight is our annual Spicewood Carnival!  I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped bring this event to life. Whether you donated an item, volunteered your time, organized an attraction, or supported in a different way, your contributions have made this event possible. We are truly grateful for the collective spirit, generosity, and care that make our school community so special. It is a joy to share this experience with our students, families, and neighbors.  We hope everyone had a great time!

We also want to thank our PTA for bringing lunch for our teachers and staff today.  It was much appreciated after such a busy week!  Thank you for recognizing the hard work of everyone at Spicewood!

5th Grade Parents Only!

5th grade students who will be attending Outdoor School from November 19th, Wednesday to November 21st, Friday.

Please drop off the Outdoor School Medication and forms at the nurse's office if you are planning to send any medication to the Outdoor School at your earliest convenience. Prescribed medication needs a doctor's prescription. Due date is November 14th, Friday. You can find all the related information from your classroom teacher's email.  Please don't hesitate to contact Nurse Sam if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you so much.

Each year Round Rock ISD has open registration to refer a student for gifted services. You might be asking yourself if this is a good fit for your child. Our service model provides an array of learning opportunities for students who show advanced ability or potential in comparison to students of the same age, experience, and environment. If your child seems to exceed the expectations in their current grade level at their school or amongst their peers, you might consider referring them for the assessment process. Gifted learners are not just accelerated in their mastery of content. You can visit the RRISD webpage to learn more about characteristics that are common in students who receive gifted services.

After reviewing these characteristics, if you feel your child might be a good candidate for these services, please refer your student for testing by December 12th at 4:30 pm. Late referrals will not be accepted. You can access the referral link on the RRISD Advanced Academics TAG website.

We have a donation drop off container in the front foyer at Spicewood.  Donations that meet the below criteria will be much appreciated to support our community!

Our annual pie and gift card drive for staff is coming up on Friday 11/21! This is a very special tradition where each staff person gets to pick up a $20 gift card for HEB along with a pie of their choice and requires a lot of parent participation to make happen! 

Sign up to bring a homemade, store bought or online ordered pie via our sign-up genius here. 

Drop off: Friday Nov. 21 between 7:15am–9:00am (school lobby or field at drop-off) or email hospitality@spicewoodpta.org to coordinate. 

The Panther Patrol is a parent volunteer group that coordinates with Principal and Teachers to identify volunteer opportunites that engage the community in student mentorship and campus improvements.

Parents can sign up at any of our monthly days to spend the day at Spicewood helping teachers and administrators behind the scenes with anything ranging from landscaping, preparing activities for teachers, and much more!
