Upcoming i‑Ready Diagnostic Testing — September 2 & 3
We’ll be administering the i‑Ready Math and Reading Diagnostic Assessments on Tuesday, September 2 and Wednesday, September 3. To help you and your child prepare, we’ve created a detailed letter that includes the special bell schedules for those days, explanations of how the diagnostic works, and helpful tips for getting ready. All students should bring their charged district-issued Chromebook, personal wired headphones or earbuds, and a book or work to do after completing the assessment. No deliveries are able to be made to students during our testing block.
You can read the full letter here:
Beginning of the School Year: Getting Started with i‑Ready (Diagnostic and Instruction)
Thank you for your support and partnership in making this a successful start to the year!
Attendance and Deliveries on Tuesday September 2 and Wednesday September 3
With I Ready testing on Tuesday and Wednesday, our ability to make deliveries to students will be limited. Please help your students come to school with the items needed for the day. We will do our best to get items to students in a timely manner if needed but will not be immediate.
The alternate bell schedule will also affect how attendance is taken. Students may be marked
absent for 1 or more periods but their attendance will be updated within 48 hrs. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
SB 12 Health Services Consent
Dear Parents and Guardians,
A new state law, Senate Bill 12, requires school districts to notify families about the health services we provide and to collect your permission before your child can receive these services at school.
Here’s what you need to know:
Starting September 1, 2025, we must have your opt-in consent on file before school staff, including nurses, teachers, counselors, social workers, and in some cases, coaches, can provide health-related services for your child.
Without consent, staff will not be able to perform even basic care, such as taking a temperature for a sick child or cleaning a scraped knee.
You have received an email from PowerSchool with instructions to update your child’s registration forms. If you have not received an email from PowerSchool, please check your spam or junk folders or contact your school's office.
The form includes two separate questions: one for health services and one for mental health services. You may choose to opt in for either, both, or neither, depending on your preferences.
Please take a few minutes to complete the form once you receive the notification. This ensures your child can continue receiving the health services you approve during the school day.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this important update.
Sincerely,
Marisa Ramirez
