Level up your child’s gaming skills with YMCA Esports!

Designed for students in 2nd–5th grade, this 6-week program helps young gamers build teamwork, leadership, online safety, focus, and personal growth—all while having a blast. Classes meet two days per week at Live Oak, with small sessions limited to 10 students for individualized coaching. Programs run on Mon/Wed with 2 sessions available from January through May, and each class meets from 3:00–4:30 p.m. The cost is $115 per session, and financial assistance may be available.

Welcome back and Happy New Year!

Lessons:  January’s focus is a school wide lesson about Culture - understanding our own and others’. Utilizing the habit of “Seek first to understand”, we can help develop our students’ skills of empathy and acceptance, and inclusion.

Next week, students will bring home “Culture Homework”.  Please help your child create their leaves to place on our Culture Tree.  We appreciate your support and look forward to learning about all the diverse cultures here at LOE!

No Place for Hate students will be sharing their culture leaves on announcements and in classrooms.
