Forest North News

Next week, we celebrate positive life choices and wellness during Healthy Lifestyles Week! Join us by participating in our daily themes (see below) and bring cans to support our canned food drive, benefiting the Round Rock Serving Center. On Friday, we invite students to wear the colors or a school-appropriate costume that best represents them. Yes, Halloween costumes are fine as long as they are school-appropriate:

  • no masks (student faces must be visible at all times)

  • no props, especially no pretend weapons

  • nothing too scary - We serve many pre-school aged children, so please keep that in mind.

Staff reserve the right to require costume removal or a change of clothes if they are too much of a classroom disturbance. Thanks for your help making this fun day a success!

UIL A+ Academics is a program designed to challenge and inspire elementary students (grades 2–5) through academic competition. Offered by the University Interscholastic League (UIL), this program includes a variety of events that develop critical thinking, creativity, and academic skills across subjects like math, reading, writing, spelling, storytelling, and more. Students compete individually or as part of a team, building confidence, teamwork, and a love of learning along the way. UIL A+ is a fun and enriching way for your child to explore their talents and grow both academically and personally!

Information about the individual UIL events is below. By registering your child you are committing to your child's participation in all practices (usually held one day per week after school) and at the McNeil Learning Community UIL Competition on Saturday, January 31, 2026 (if your child qualifies).

Once you register, a permission form will be sent home for you to complete and sign.
