We were thrilled to see students back from Spring Break this week! Everyone was right back into the swing of things with lots of exploring and learning. It was also field trip week! Tons of our students had fun off-campus learning experiences, too! See pictures below of our kindergarteners at the Crowe's Nest Farm.

On Tuesday, we welcome FUTURE EAGLES to campus to learn more about our school and enrollment for the 2026-27 school year. If you know children who will turn 4 or 5 years old before September 1, 2026, they may qualify for Pre-K or Kindergarten at FNE next year. Please spread the word about our Early Learning preview day on March 31.

We invite families to share their diverse cultures with our FNE community! Blank Diversity Dolls were sent home in with students this past week. Families are asked to dress these dolls in clothing that represents their family's heritage or culture. This can be a traditional look or a more current style of clothing. Be creative!! Students can use any materials to create their Diversity Doll (ex: fabrics, colorful paper, yarn, beads, crayons, markers, glue, various crafting materials, etc). The sky's the limit! We are asking families to complete these Diversity Dolls at HOME and return completed dolls to school by April 1st. The dolls will be hung around the school to celebrate our unique and diverse Forest North community. Thank you for participating!

Got a bunch of grocery store bags cluttering up your home? Here's your chance to donate for a good cause!

Forest North is participating in HEB's Plastic Bag Recycling Challenge! The program is designed to motivate students across Texas to collect and return plastic bags from their homes and neighborhoods. The initiative not only helps reduce plastic waste but also serves as an opportunity for schools to teach students about the importance of recycling and the impact they can have on our natural environment. Participating schools will also earn an HEB gift card (amount based on the number of bags collected) to support student learning! Last year, HEB collected over 6.7 million plastic bags! Amazing!

So, save those bags and send them to school! Students can bring them to their homeroom teacher or drop them in the box in the front lobby. Accepted Items include: any retail shopping bag, produce bags, bread bags, film, dry-cleaning bags or newspaper bags.
