We crowned our 2026 Spelling Bee Winner last week! Congratulations to Lucy Coker, 4th grade, for correctly spelling the final word of today's Bee. The winning word was UNLEASH. Lucy will have a chance to move forward in the Scripps competition and represent Forest North in the District/Regional Spelling Bee. Congratulations to these School-wide Spelling Bee finalists who spent a lot of time preparing and did an amazing job with poise and sportsmanship during a heated competition!

Ana'liyah won our award for poise under pressure during the Bee and Andi won the award for good sportsmanship. Special thanks to Mrs. Rhea and Mrs. Fournier for all their help planning, facilitating and judging the Bee.

Connect with our Second Step SEL Curriculum

Rock ISD utilizes the Second Step program as a Social-Emotional Learning curriculum. The lessons help children learn human skills such as responsible decision-making, working together to solve problems, managing strong emotions, and getting along with others. These skills can help children succeed academically and socially. Unit 3 Lessons began this week! For each grade, there is a Home Link flyer with more information about the lesson themes and things to try at home to support this important learning.
