The STAAR testing season is here for 3rd-5th grade teachers and students. Testing begins next week with Reading/Language Arts, with Science and Math in the weeks shortly after. Students have been working overtime to prepare for testing and are READY to show off their learning.

State testing is important and our Texas Education Agency accountability rating as a school has been an A or B for the last few years, in part, because of our achievement and growth data on these tests. But during this busy spring time, we want you to know that we see our students as much more than any test score. We strive to reach and teach the whole child through commitments to fine arts, health and wellness, social and emotional learning and values like connection and community. We also believe strongly that elementary school should be a whole lot of fun! Our students will never again be in the grade they're in right now. Let's make April and May full of joy, learning and amazing memories!

Fifth Graders Visit UT!

Our fifth graders attended a field trip to the University of Texas' Department of Education this week. They participated in math and science stations with graduate students and explored the university. What a great experience!

Forest North Elementary Visual Arts Showcase!

Get ready to be inspired! Forest North Elementary is thrilled to host our first Visual Arts Showcase on Thursday, April 30th, from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM.

This is a "come and go" open house celebrating the creativity of all Forest North students. We are proud to share all that we have done this year in Art. Stop by, walk the "gallery," and celebrate the incredible talent of our young artists. We can’t wait to see you there!

Join us for a fun Family Game Night filled with games, laughter, and friendly competition! Bring the whole family and your favorite card and board games. PTA will provide FREE pizza and refreshments.

Bring your picnic blankets and dinner and join friends for a picnic on the front lawn! PTA will provide drinks and desserts. During that time, also go inside to check out the amazing artwork of our FNE students at the Art Showcase. Stay tuned for more details!

Enrollment for School Year 2026-27

Believe it or not, it's time to begin thinking about the next school year! As we begin the staffing/hiring season, it's crucial that we have accurate enrollment numbers for each grade. Please complete this 2026-27 Enrollment Form to let us know if your family will be returning to Forest North next year and to provide input about class placement.

We must have a form submitted for EACH and ALL STUDENTS (Grades EE - 4th) regardless of whether they will or will not return to Forest North next year.

If you have multiple students at FNE in grades EE-4th, please submit one form per student.

The form due date is May 1, 2026.
