Good evening, Coyote Family!
We’ve had an incredible week at Forest Creek! Our student Live Broadcast teams are confidently leading the morning announcements, and our Safety Patrol leaders are doing an outstanding job ensuring arrival and dismissal run smoothly. Teachers have gone above and beyond to plan engaging, hands-on learning experiences for our students, and those earning positive office referrals are celebrating by sitting on stage at lunch and hearing their names announced for all to hear. Our Book Fair is underway and will continue through next Friday, so come and visit us!
Reminders:
Doors open at 7:10 a.m., and instruction begins promptly at 7:35 a.m. Students arriving after 7:35 will receive a tardy pass and are marked tardy for the day.
Please do not drop off or pick up students near the portables.
All visitors entering our campus must have an ID to enter the building and receive a visitor's pass.
Best,
Briana Flores

New This Week
Effective September 1st, 2025, a new state law, Senate Bill 12, requires school districts to notify families about the health services we provide and to collect your permission before your student can receive these services at school.
Here’s what you need to know: Starting September 1, 2025, we must have your opt-in consent on file before school staff, including nurses, teachers, counselors, social workers, and, in some cases, coaches, can provide health-related services for your child. Without consent, staff will not be able to perform even basic care, such as taking a temperature for a sick child or cleaning a scraped knee.
● In an emergency, staff will always provide care, even without consent. You have received an email from PowerSchool with instructions to update your child’s registration forms. If you have not received an email from PowerSchool, please check your spam or junk folders or contact your school's front office.
● The form includes two separate questions: one for health services and one for mental health services. You may choose to opt in for either, both, or neither, depending on your preferences. Please take a few minutes to complete the form once you receive the notification. This ensures your child can continue receiving the health services you approve during the school day. Thank you for your prompt attention to this important update.
A Note from the Nurse
Please read the letter regarding Health Services Consent.
Remember to keep your student home if they are sick. A fever is considered anything 100 degrees or over. Students must be fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medications such as Tylenol or Motrin before they can return. Health Screening services begin on August 29, 2025.
