Hello, Coyote Families!
We've had another great week at school! Our second graders kicked things off with a fantastic performance that showcased their hard work, talent, and confidence. We are so proud of them and grateful for Mr. Manning, Mr. Sanchez, and our Specials teachers for organizing such a fun event.
We also celebrated our first ever Coyote Crawl, where staff and their families enjoyed strolling through the neighborhood together and taking in the beautiful holiday decorations and lights. It was a relaxing way to connect, unwind, and celebrate the season together.
Tonight our Watch D.O.G.S. hosted our very first Jingle Jam, a fun disco party for students and families. The music, lights, and energy made for a memorable evening. A big thank you to our volunteers who helped make the event a success.
It was wonderful seeing so many of you at our events. Your support, energy, and involvement make Forest Creek such a special place. We look forward to more opportunities to connect and celebrate together.
Best,
Briana Flores
DID YOU KNOW?
Our campus is continuing the important work within the Marzano High Reliability Schools (HRS) framework, a nationally recognized model that helps schools build strong systems to support student success.
What is Marzano HRS? Developed by education researcher Dr. Robert Marzano, the High Reliability Schools framework outlines five progressive levels of school effectiveness. Each level focuses on creating consistent, high-quality practices that improve teaching, learning, and school culture. Schools earn certification by demonstrating strong, research-based systems at each level.
Where Are We Now?
Forest Creek is certified in Levels 1 and 2, and we are excited to have applied and been accepted to work towards Level 3 (Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum).
Level 3 focuses on ensuring all students have access to the same essential learning standards. Teachers work together to plan instruction and assessments, and we protect time so students can fully engage in the most important learning. Strong systems are also in place to monitor student progress and respond to their learning needs.
This work strengthens the consistency, clarity, and equity of instruction across our campus, ensuring that every student receives high-quality learning experiences every day, regardless of the classroom they are in.
Your feedback matters! Please complete the surveys below so we can learn what’s going well and where we can keep growing.

Drop off and Pick up Reminders

Safety Reminders for Arrival & Dismissal
School Zone Speeds
We have seen an increase in speeding during arrival and dismissal. Please slow down and follow posted speed limits. Your caution helps keep our students and staff safe.
Morning Car Rider Line Pull all the way forward in both the front and back loops so we can unload more cars efficiently.
Crosswalk Safety
Please avoid parking in or blocking any crosswalks. Always use designated crosswalks and follow staff and crossing guard directions. 👉 Families, please remind students who walk or ride bikes that they must wait for an adult at the crosswalk before crossing the street.
School Bus Safety Never pass a school bus when its flashers are on or the stop sign is extended. Students may be crossing.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Locations Students may only be dropped off or picked up at the designated front or back loops. For safety, please do not drop off or pick up students near the portables, the marquee, or along the side roads.
Attendance & Tardy Reminders
Instruction begins at 7:35 a.m. Please ensure your student arrives on time so they start their day successfully and do not miss essential learning.
Early Pick-Up Reminder
If you need to pick up your child before dismissal, please do so before 2:20 p.m. After this time, we cannot accommodate early checkouts due to the volume of end-of-day communication and safety procedures.
Dismissal Expectations
Please avoid using your cell phone while driving through the pick-up line.
Teach students to buckle themselves independently to keep the line moving.
Do not skip lines — it disrupts our number system and slows the entire process.
Remain in your vehicle and wait for your child to walk to you.
Visitor Procedures
All visitors must present a valid ID to receive a visitor badge. Please do not hold the door open for others. This helps us ensure every visitor checks in properly and maintains a safe environment.
Thank you for helping us keep Forest Creek safe, efficient, and welcoming. Your partnership makes a tremendous difference in ensuring every arrival and dismissal runs smoothly.

Art Message from Mrs. Korn & Mrs. Block |
Dear Forest Creek Families,
We are thrilled to announce that our students' artwork is now on display at the Round Rock Public Library!
Head over to the second floor (the Children’s floor) to see the beautiful pieces created by our talented young Coyote artists. Their artwork is proudly showcased in large frames throughout the floor, and we couldn’t be more excited for everyone to see the incredible creativity and hard work they’ve put into their pieces.
The display will be up through January 8th, so there's plenty of time to stop by and show your support! We invite you, your friends, and your family to visit the library and celebrate our students' artistic achievements. It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some local talent and support our community library.
We hope to see you there, and thank you for encouraging our young artists!
Warmly,
Mrs. Korn and Ms. Block Forest Creek Elementary Fine Arts
