Forest Creek Elementary - Round Rock ISD

Hello, Coyote Families!

Today was truly a time of thanksgiving at Forest Creek. Our campus was filled with joy as we welcomed 610 visitors for our Thanksgiving lunch. It was wonderful to see so many families gathered together, sharing a meal and creating memories with their students.

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to our PTA and all of our incredible volunteers who helped make this event run smoothly. Your support and teamwork made today special for our entire community, and we are so grateful.

We are also looking forward to our 5th Grade Colonial Market event tomorrow. Our students and teachers have been working incredibly hard to prepare for this hands-on, immersive learning experience, and we look forward to seeing their creativity and collaboration come to life.

As we head into the break, I wish each of you a wonderful, restful, and safe holiday. From our Forest Creek family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!

Best,

Briana Flores

DID YOU KNOW?

Admin will be speaking to students during lunch about a cafeteria reset. Our goal is to create a calm, enjoyable environment where students can focus on eating first and then participate in quiet activities once they’ve finished their meal and thrown away their trash.

To support this effort, we are hoping to offer students a variety of quiet choices such as coloring, reading, and simple table games. If you are able, we would greatly appreciate used or new donations of any of the following items:

Coloring books, crayons or markers, children’s books (gently used or new), quiet board games, card games, puzzles, activity pads, and brain teaser books

Your support helps us promote a positive, calm lunchtime experience for all students. If you’d like to donate, items can be dropped off at the front office any time.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for supporting our Coyote community. We are grateful for you!

Drop off and Pick up Reminders

Arrival and Dismissal Safety Reminders

At Forest Creek, the safety of our students, families, and staff is our number one priority. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping keep our Coyotes safe during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. Please take a moment to review the following safety reminders:

Morning car rider lines: Please pull up all the way up so we can fit more vehicles in both the front and back to drop off students.

School Zone Speeds:
Always obey the posted speed limit when driving through our school zone. Slowing down keeps everyone safe.

Crosswalk Safety:
Please do not park in or block crosswalks. Use crosswalks to cross the street and follow the directions of our staff and crossing guards.

School Bus Rules:
Never pass a school bus when its flashers are on or the stop sign is extended. Children may be crossing the street.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Locations:
Students should only be dropped off and picked up at the designated areas in the front or back of the school. Please do not drop off or pick up students near the portables on the east or west side of the campus, near the marquee, or along the side of the road.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in keeping Forest Creek a safe and welcoming environment for every student. Together, we can ensure every arrival and dismissal runs smoothly and safely.

  1. Attendance and Tardies: To give all students the best start, we are reinforcing the importance of being on time. Instruction begins at 7:35 am. Please make sure your student arrives punctually so they don't miss out on important instruction, and we can maintain a consistent start to the school day.

  2. Early Pick-Up Reminder: If you need to pick up your student before the 2:55 p.m. dismissal bell, please plan to check them out no later than 2:20 p.m. After 2:20, we are unable to accommodate early check-outs. The end of the day is a very busy time, as our front office team is actively communicating with teachers and ensuring all dismissal changes are handled promptly and safely.

  3. Dismissal:

    • Please avoid cell phone use while in the pick-up line to help us keep everyone safe and attentive.

    • Teach your student how to buckle up independently so we can keep the line moving smoothly. We’re unable to pause for each student to be buckled in by an adult.

    • Please do not skip lines — this disrupts our number system and slows down the process for everyone.

    • Please remain in your vehicles and wait for your student to walk out to you

  4. Visitor Procedures
All visitors must present a valid ID when entering the campus to receive a visitor’s pass. This helps us maintain a safe and secure environment for all students. Please do not open the door for the person behind you. We want to ensure they show their ID and enter appropriately. We appreciate the support!
