Forest Creek Elementary - Round Rock ISD

Good evening, Coyotes!

This week has been full of celebrations, appreciation, and so many reminders of what makes our Forest Creek community so special.

First, we want to give a huge thank you to our amazing PTA and volunteers for everything they have done to support Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. From the yummy food and drinks to the thoughtful treats and surprises throughout the week. Our staff has definitely felt loved and appreciated. We also want to thank our incredible families for the special gifts, snacks, notes, and acts of kindness they have shared with our teachers and staff throughout the week. Your generosity and support mean so much to all of us. We truly have the best Coyote family. Our teachers and staff pour so much into our students every single day, and we are incredibly grateful for all they do to make Forest Creek such a special place and the best school in RRISD!

This week, we also celebrated our wonderful nurse Charisma! We are so thankful for the care, patience, and support she provides to both our students and staff every day. She does so much behind the scenes to keep our campus healthy, safe, and supported, and we are lucky to have her at Forest Creek.

Another exciting highlight this week was celebrating our Garden Club students and all of the hard work they have put into our campus garden. Our garden has truly flourished this year, and today, students were able to harvest vegetables and herbs to take home with them. I have a feeling there will be lots of great meals being made tonight! It has been so fun watching our students learn, grow, and take pride in caring for the garden.

We also had an incredible TAG Showcase this week! We are so proud of our students for sharing their hard work, creativity, and learning with confidence. A huge thank you to our two amazing TAG teachers for the continued dedication, planning, and support they provide for our students. Their work creates meaningful experiences that challenge and inspire our learners every day.

Tomorrow, we look forward to our first-ever Career Day event! We are excited to welcome visitors to our campus and cannot wait for our students to hear about different careers, experiences, and opportunities from members of our community. We know this will be a meaningful experience for our students, and we appreciate everyone who volunteered their time to be a part of it.

It has truly been a great week at Forest Creek, and I continue to feel grateful to serve such an amazing community of students, staff, and families. Thank you for all of your continued support and for being such an important part of our Coyote family!

Best,
Briana Flores

Updated: Safety & Arrival/Dismissal Reminders

As a reminder, student safety is always our top priority. Please do not drop off students on Forest Creek Drive or Harvey Penick, as these are not designated drop-off areas. We have also noticed an increase in speeding through our car rider lines. We understand mornings can feel busy and rushed, but we ask that everyone drive slowly, stay alert, and remain cautious at all times to help keep our students, staff, and families safe. Additionally, please make sure to use all designated crosswalks so we can continue modeling safe practices and following campus expectations for our students.

A Message from Mrs. Elliott - Library

Hi everyone!

Just a friendly heads-up that it’s time to round up those library books hiding under beds or tucked away in backpacks. To help us get the library organized before the end of the year, all books are due back by tomorrow, Friday, May 8th. We have over $4,000 of past due library books. Please help us by returning your book(s)!

We know life gets busy and things sometimes go missing. If a book has staged a permanent disappearance at your house, no worries! Just respond to the librarian’s email for help with the next steps or to settle any lost item fees. Thanks so much for helping our library stay stocked for next year!

Field Day Volunteers Needed!!

Due to the Field Day date change, we are currently in need of additional volunteers to help support our event. Unfortunately, approximately 15 of our previously scheduled volunteers are no longer able to attend because of the new date.

We would greatly appreciate any additional help to ensure Field Day continues to run smoothly and remains a fun and successful experience for our students. If you are available to volunteer, please complete the updated volunteer form linked below.

FOREST CREEK ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY 2026

Due to the weather, we have made the decision to reschedule Field Day to May 13. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our students.

Please take a moment to review the reminders below to help the day run smoothly:

Field Day activities are for Forest Creek students only. Non-students will not be able to participate.

If you plan to check out your child to attend a sibling’s Field Day session (for example, a K–2 student attending a 3–5 session), you must check them out through the front office, leave campus, and return during the appropriate Field Day time.

We have updated the volunteer form to reflect the new date. If you are able to support, we would greatly appreciate it. Even if you previously signed up, please complete the updated form to confirm your availability for May 13.
