Good evening, Coyotes!
We are so proud of the success of our Early Learning Day! One of the highlights was seeing our fifth grade student leaders truly shine. They did an outstanding job welcoming families, guiding tours, and representing Forest Creek with confidence and pride.
We are incredibly grateful for our staff, PTA, and volunteers who helped make this event possible. Your hard work, time, and dedication continue to make a difference for our students and our school community. Because of you, Forest Creek continues to grow and thrive.
Our students have also continued working hard in the classroom. We are seeing hands-on learning, meaningful engagement, new friendships forming, and focused STAAR review, all while making learning fun and exciting.
As we head into the weekend, however you choose to celebrate, we hope you have a wonderful time with your loved ones and take a moment to reflect on the many blessings around us. Wishing those who celebrate a Happy Easter, and to all of our families, a joyful and restful weekend.
Thank you for your continued support of our campus. We truly could not do this without you.
Best,
Briana Flores

A Note About STAAR
STAAR is one way we measure student learning and progress throughout the year. It provides us with helpful information about how students are performing on grade-level expectations and where we can continue to support their growth. STAAR is only one data point and does not determine whether a student is promoted to the next grade level.
We want to reassure families that this test does not define a child’s abilities, potential, or future success. Every student has unique strengths, talents, and ways of learning that cannot be captured in a single assessment. Success in life is built over time through perseverance, creativity, relationships, and a love of learning, not one test score.
Our goal is always to support the whole child. Classroom performance, daily effort, growth throughout the year, and teacher feedback all play an important role in understanding each student’s progress.
We encourage you to help your child:
Stay calm and confident
Focus on doing their personal best
Lunch Visitors on Testing Days
Please note:
If a grade level is still testing during lunch, students will eat in their classrooms
We ask that families do not come to campus for lunch on STAAR testing days
Thank you for your continued support in helping our students feel confident and prepared. We are proud of all their hard work this year!
Best,
Charlene Dabney
Assistant Principal (1st, 3rd, 5th)

Career Day Coming Soon: Careers On Wheels Presenters Needed |
Dear FCE Community Parents and Partners,
Forest Creek Elementary is excited to host our upcoming Career Day on May 8th from approximately 8:00–11:00 AM, and we are currently looking for enthusiastic presenters to help make this event a meaningful experience for our students.
For our Careers On Wheels portion of Career Day for our Kinder through 2nd-grade students, we are seeking individuals whose careers involve the use of trucks or specialized vehicles. This could include, but is certainly not limited to, careers such as firefighters, law enforcement officers, construction workers, electricians, delivery drivers, food truck operators, and many more. If your profession uses a vehicle as part of the job, we would love for you to share your experience with our students!
Presenters will have the opportunity to:
Showcase their vehicle
Talk about their career and daily responsibilities
Inspire students by sharing skills, education, and pathways related to their job
Our goal is to expose students to a wide variety of careers and help them begin thinking about their future in an engaging, hands-on way.
As a token of our appreciation, lunch will be provided for all presenters at the conclusion of Career Day.
If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please complete the Google Form below. We would love to have you join us!
