Good evening, Coyotes!
It’s been another great week at school, and we’ve had lots of fun learning and celebrating student growth! We had the most positive office referrals this week, with exceeding 29 referrals from teachers! Way to go, students!
I also want to highlight our new Student Yearbook Committee and the hard work they’re putting into creating this year’s yearbook. This is our first year having students involved in the process, and it has been a wonderful opportunity for them to take on leadership and be part of capturing our school memories. It’s definitely something we look forward to continuing in the future.
Our Forest Creek Talent Show was incredible! From singing and dancing to some really creative performances, our Coyotes showed just how much talent we have in our school community. It was a fun evening filled with courage, creativity, and lots of cheering from our Coyote families.
I had a great time serving as the MC for the evening and cheering everyone on from the stage. I will say… after attempting three cartwheels, it’s clear I need to spend a little time practicing before next year’s show. I promise I’ll work on them so they’re even better in 2027! A huge thank you to our incredible PTA for their endless time and effort planning this fun event and for their continued support of our school. Thank you also to our staff, families, and community members who came out to support the show. Most importantly, thank you to our brave students and staff performers who shared their talents with all of us. It was truly a fun night for the entire Coyote community!
Have a good night, and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow! Best, Briana Flores DID YOU KNOW? Tomorrow, Forest Creek will welcome a special visitor to campus! Dr. Mario Acosta, a Marzano Associate, will be working with our content teachers to provide targeted professional learning. This professional development supports our ongoing work as a Marzano High Reliability School, helping our teachers continue strengthening instruction and ensuring every student receives high-quality learning experiences in the classroom. We are grateful for opportunities like this that allow our teachers to learn, grow, and bring new strategies back to our students every day.

Safety & Arrival/Dismissal Reminders |
Fire Lanes: We have observed vehicles parked in the red fire lanes during arrival and dismissal, including in front of the school and along the Harvey Penick side near the portables. Fire lanes must remain clear at all times. Please do not park or wait in your vehicle in these areas. Doing so violates fire safety regulations and creates a safety risk.
School Zone Safety
Please slow down and follow posted speed limits during arrival and dismissal. Car Rider Line
During afternoon dismissal, if you are waiting in the car rider line on Harvey Penick coming from Links Ln., please remember to stay as far left as possible near the yellow lines on the road. This helps ensure that other vehicles are able to safely pass on the right side and keeps traffic flowing smoothly for our community. Pull all the way forward in both the front and back loops to help us unload and load cars efficiently. Crosswalks & Walking Students Do not block crosswalks, and always follow staff and crossing guard directions. Students who walk or bike must wait for an adult before crossing. Bus Safety Never pass a school bus when the lights are flashing or the stop sign is extended. Drop-Off & Pick-Up Locations
Students may only be dropped off or picked up in the designated front or back loops. Please do not use side roads, the marquee area, or near portables. Arrival Time Instruction begins at 7:35 a.m. Please help your child arrive on time so they do not miss learning. Early Pick-Up
All early checkouts must occur before 2:20 p.m. After this time, we are unable to accommodate early pick-ups due to dismissal procedures. Dismissal Expectations Please avoid cell phone use in the pick-up line, remain in your vehicle, do not skip lines, and help students buckle independently to keep traffic moving. Visitor Procedures
All visitors must check in with a valid ID and wear a visitor badge. Please do not hold doors open for others. Thank you for partnering with us to keep Forest Creek safe, efficient, and welcoming for all. |
