Forest Creek Elementary - Round Rock ISD

Good evening, FCE!

It’s been another great week at school, and we are so proud of our students as they complete their middle-of-the-year screeners and interim assessments. This progress reflects the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of both our students and our incredible staff, and we could not be more proud.

As we celebrate these accomplishments, we are also looking ahead to many exciting events coming up next week and throughout the rest of February and into March.

There is a lot of important information in this week’s newsletter, along with many great events coming up, so be sure to continue scrolling to read more!

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to help every student grow and succeed.

Best,

Briana Flores

Safety & Arrival/Dismissal Reminders

School Zone Safety
Please slow down and follow posted speed limits during arrival and dismissal.

Car Rider Line

During afternoon dismissal, if you are waiting in the car rider line on Harvey Penick coming from Links Ln., please remember to stay as far left as possible on the road. This helps ensure that other vehicles are able to safely pass on the right side and keeps traffic flowing smoothly for our community.

Pull all the way forward in both the front and back loops to help us unload and load cars efficiently.

Crosswalks & Walking Students
Do not block crosswalks, and always follow staff and crossing guard directions. Students who walk or bike must wait for an adult before crossing.

Bus Safety
Never pass a school bus when the lights are flashing or the stop sign is extended.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Locations
Students may only be dropped off or picked up in the designated front or back loops. Please do not use side roads, the marquee area, or near portables.

Arrival Time
Instruction begins at 7:35 a.m. Please help your child arrive on time so they do not miss learning.

Early Pick-Up
All early checkouts must occur before 2:20 p.m. After this time, we are unable to accommodate early pick-ups due to dismissal procedures.

Dismissal Expectations
Please avoid cell phone use in the pick-up line, remain in your vehicle, do not skip lines, and help students buckle independently to keep traffic moving.

Visitor Procedures
All visitors must check in with a valid ID and wear a visitor badge. Please do not hold doors open for others.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep Forest Creek safe, efficient, and welcoming for all.

💌 Valentine’s Party Sign-Out Reminder

Families are welcome to sign their child out with their homeroom teacher on the day of the Valentine’s party if they choose. While signing out is not required, we kindly ask that once a student is signed out, they leave campus with their supervising adult.

For safety and supervision purposes, students may not return to class or visit other classrooms after being signed out, and we ask that students remain with their assigned class during the event (no visiting other classrooms or “party hopping” with siblings).
Thank you for helping us ensure a safe, organized, and enjoyable celebration for everyone!
