Good evening, FCE! We’ve had a fast and furious week at school, but it's been another great one! First, a huge thank you to our students for their hard work, focus, and perseverance. We are so proud of them for continuously meeting their i-Ready goals. Their effort truly shows, and we can’t wait to celebrate their success together. STAAR interim testing ran very smoothly, and we are grateful for the collective effort of our teachers, staff, administrators, and support team who worked together to make it a success. To recognize their hard work, we will be hosting a school-wide popcorn party on Tuesday! 🍿 This will be a fun way to celebrate our students and the growth they’ve shown.
I also want to share a quick update: our broadcast system is currently down. We know how much our students love our daily announcements, especially since they lead all the technology, scripting, and anchor work. Please know that we are working diligently to get everything back up and running so we can continue this special, student-led tradition.
As we endure some extremely cold weather in our area, we want to remind everyone to please stay warm and take care. If your family is in need of any essential resources or has concerns related to the cold weather, please do not hesitate to reach out to our front office. We would love to assist and want to ensure our entire Forest Creek community stays warm and safe.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership. It’s been a great week to be a Coyote, and we’re excited for what’s ahead! Thank you for another great week and for being such a supportive and engaged community! Best, Briana Flores |

Safety & Arrival/Dismissal Reminders |
School Zone Safety
Please slow down and follow posted speed limits during arrival and dismissal. We have seen an increase in speeding, and your caution helps keep everyone safe. Car Rider Line
During afternoon dismissal, if you are waiting in the car rider line on Harvey Penick coming from Links Ln., please remember to stay as far left as possible on the road. This helps ensure that other vehicles are able to safely pass on the right side and keeps traffic flowing smoothly for our community. Pull all the way forward in both the front and back loops to help us unload and load cars efficiently. Crosswalks & Walking Students Do not block crosswalks, and always follow staff and crossing guard directions. Students who walk or bike must wait for an adult before crossing. Bus Safety Never pass a school bus when the lights are flashing or the stop sign is extended. Drop-Off & Pick-Up Locations
Students may only be dropped off or picked up in the designated front or back loops. Please do not use side roads, the marquee area, or near portables. Arrival Time Instruction begins at 7:35 a.m. Please help your child arrive on time so they do not miss learning. Early Pick-Up
All early checkouts must occur before 2:20 p.m. After this time, we are unable to accommodate early pick-ups due to dismissal procedures. Dismissal Expectations Please avoid cell phone use in the pick-up line, remain in your vehicle, do not skip lines, and help students buckle independently to keep traffic moving. Visitor Procedures
All visitors must check in with a valid ID and wear a visitor badge. Please do not hold doors open for others. Thank you for partnering with us to keep Forest Creek safe, efficient, and welcoming for all. |
Good afternoon, Round Rock ISD Community,
Ahead of the incoming inclement weather, all Round Rock ISD events this weekend are canceled, including athletics, UIL competitions and fine arts performances for Saturday, Jan. 24, and Sunday, Jan. 25. All after-school district events will continue on Friday, Jan. 23.
We’re closely monitoring the situation and will share any additional weather-related communications via email, social media, and on our website regarding changes to our schedule for Monday, Jan. 26. Our priority is to keep all students, families and staff safe during any inclement weather. We are in constant contact with the National Weather Service, local, county and state agencies and municipalities to make the best choices for our district. |
