Happy New Year, Forest Creek Families!
I hope your winter break was restful, joyful, and filled with special moments with loved ones. I was so excited to welcome our students and staff back to campus. Our hallways are full again, and so are the smiles. It truly fills my bucket to see our students and staff back on campus.
As we begin the second semester, we are looking forward to a strong finish to the school year. We have many fun and meaningful learning experiences planned for our students, and we are excited about the growth, celebrations, and opportunities that lie ahead.
I am also happy to share some exciting campus updates! Over the break, our campus received new classroom furniture for all K–5 classrooms, all Special Education classrooms, and TAG classrooms. Students now have new desks and chairs, and teachers received a new desk and chair, a small-group table, and a large whiteboard easel. As a campus that is 29 years old, these updates are especially meaningful as we look ahead to celebrating Forest Creek’s 30th year this fall. Additionally, our new black perimeter fence around the campus is almost complete. We anticipate it will be approximately 3–4 more weeks before the gates are fully locked and secured. This project is an important step in continuing to enhance campus safety. Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are looking forward to an amazing second semester together! Best,

Safety & Arrival/Dismissal Reminders |
School Zone Safety
Please slow down and follow posted speed limits during arrival and dismissal. We have seen an increase in speeding, and your caution helps keep everyone safe. Car Rider Line
During afternoon dismissal, if you are waiting in the car rider line on Harvey Penick, please remember to stay as far left as possible on the road. This helps ensure that other vehicles are able to safely pass on the right side and keeps traffic flowing smoothly for our community. Pull all the way forward in both the front and back loops to help us unload and load cars efficiently.
Crosswalks & Walking Students Do not block crosswalks, and always follow staff and crossing guard directions. Students who walk or bike must wait for an adult before crossing. Bus Safety Never pass a school bus when the lights are flashing or the stop sign is extended. Drop-Off & Pick-Up Locations
Students may only be dropped off or picked up in the designated front or back loops. Please do not use side roads, the marquee area, or near portables. Arrival Time Instruction begins at 7:35 a.m. Please help your child arrive on time so they do not miss learning. Early Pick-Up
All early checkouts must occur before 2:20 p.m. After this time, we are unable to accommodate early pick-ups due to dismissal procedures. Dismissal Expectations Please avoid cell phone use in the pick-up line, remain in your vehicle, do not skip lines, and help students buckle independently to keep traffic moving. Visitor Procedures
All visitors must check in with a valid ID and wear a visitor badge. Please do not hold doors open for others. Thank you for partnering with us to keep Forest Creek safe, efficient, and welcoming for all. |

GoGuardian / Beacon After Hours and Non-Instructional Day Notifications
To support student safety, digital citizenship, and social-emotional well-being, Round Rock ISD partnered with GoGuardian this fall to implement the Beacon digital monitoring system. Beacon helps district and campus staff monitor student online activity during the school day to identify potential safety concerns and provide timely support when needed.
School-day monitoring hours in Beacon are 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on instructional days. On non-instructional days, district staff will not actively monitor Beacon notifications.
Outside of school hours, and during weekends, holidays and school breaks, parents and guardians may continue monitoring their student’s online activity by using the GoGuardian Parent Mobile App. The Beacon system allows district staff and parents to view: Student online browsing activity, and Activity within the student’s district Google account. When enabled, Beacon generates notifications for online activity that may indicate that a student could benefit from additional support. Parent Monitoring Encouraged
Parents and guardians are encouraged to download the GoGuardian Parent App to continue monitoring their students’ online activity during Winter Break and throughout the year outside of school hours or on non-instructional days.
Thank you for partnering with us to support student safety and well-being, both online and offline. Optional to include: Learn more about GoGuardian. |
