Dear England Families,
We hope each of your families had a wonderful weekend! We have five more school days until Spring Break, and they are full of both fun and learning. Please be sure to read all the way to the end of this update so you don’t miss any of the happenings across campus.
Friday marked the end of our third nine weeks. What a wonderful year it has been so far, and we are excited to head into the final nine weeks strong. We want to take a moment to give a shout out to our incredible staff members. Every day, they work hard to ensure our Leopards are successful while also prioritizing social-emotional learning, collaboration, and kindness. I have the privilege of seeing this in action daily, and our team truly pours their hearts into making England the very best experience for our Leopards.
Last week, our fabulous SEL team hosted SEL Day for both students and staff. Social emotional learning is such an important part of the work we do at England. When students feel connected, supported, and confident in managing their emotions and relationships, it creates the foundation for strong learning, positive relationships, and a welcoming school community.
We also still have about 15 spots remaining for Trivia Night. Be sure to check out the flyer below. Sign ups close at noon tomorrow, 3/9, and we would love to see more of our England families join the fun!
Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support of our school community. We are grateful for our amazing Leopard families! 🐆
In partnership,
Krystall Williams, Principal

PTA Corner
Message from our PTA President, Vishal Patel:
As we wrap up this busy school year and begin planning for the next, you have likely seen messages regarding our upcoming PTA elections for the 2026-2027 term. The election will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 5:30 PM in the Elsa England Library. PTA members are encouraged to join us to cast their vote for the candidates they believe will best serve our students and school. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
Attendance Matters
As we head into the final nine weeks of the school year, attendance continues to play a huge role in helping our Leopards stay connected, confident, and successful in their learning. Every day in the classroom matters, especially as students continue building on the skills and routines they’ve worked so hard to develop this year.
Last week our campus attendance came in at 95%, which is so close to our campus goal of 96%. Thank you for helping us keep that momentum going! A special shoutout to 5th grade, who continues to lead the way with an impressive 97% attendance rate. Way to go, Leopards!
Let’s head into our last week before Spring Break with strong attendance and keep that positive momentum going.
If your child does need to be absent, please be sure to report it using our Report an Absence form so our front office can document it correctly.
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting strong attendance for our Leopards. Every day truly counts.
Economics Fair (March 11th)
Our 3rd grade Economics Fair is coming up, and our students have been hard at work creating products as part of a service learning project focused on conservation. Through this experience, students are learning about entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and giving back, with 90% of the funds raised supporting the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and global conservation efforts.
Students in grades K–5 will have the opportunity to shop at the fair, and families can help support this meaningful project by purchasing tickets through the Economics Fair eStore. Most student-created items range from $1–$3, and all purchases are converted to tickets (each ticket equals 25 cents) that students will use to shop at the fair.
Please note that the eStore will close at midnight on Monday, March 9. After midnight, no additional tickets can be purchased and no cash or late donations will be accepted, so please be sure to complete your purchase before the deadline.
You can find the full flyer with additional details and purchasing directions here.
Early Learning Day & 2026–2027 Enrollment
Enrollment for next school year is already open in RRISD. Enrolling early helps us plan ahead for staffing and build strong class rosters, so we encourage families to begin the process as soon as possible. You can learn more about early enrollment and start planning for next year through the district website.
We’re also excited to share that our Early Learning Day for incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten students will take place on March 31. This special event gives our youngest future Leopards a chance to visit, explore, and get excited about school.
Registration details are coming soon. Families can sign up to be notified when registration opens using the link below:
