2/16/2026
Dear England Families,
We hope everyone is enjoying the extended weekend! As a reminder, students do not have school tomorrow, 2/17, as our staff will be engaged in professional development.
A heartfelt thank you to our staff, PTA homeroom parents, and volunteers for making our Valentine parties smooth, joyful, and so much fun for our Leopards. We are grateful for the time and care you pour into these celebrations. It was wonderful to see so many of you in the building!
We hope you have been able to enjoy some quality family time and a little fresh air this weekend. We are looking forward to a short, but great, week together.
In partnership,
Krystall Williams, Principal

PTA Corner
We are so grateful to our incredible PTA for your unwavering support and for the many events and experiences you provide to enhance Leopard learning. From campus celebrations to meaningful enrichment opportunities, your partnership makes a lasting impact on our students and staff.
If you are looking for a way to get more involved, please check out the flyer below for an opportunity to serve on the Executive Board. Your leadership and voice help make our school community stronger!
Attendance Matters
Our campus attendance goal for 2025–2026 remains 96%, and while our Leopards continue to show up ready to learn, we know we can keep climbing. This past week, our overall attendance was 94.7%, with 5th grade leading the way at an impressive 96.91%. Way to go, 5th grade! 🐆
We would love to see our campus return to 96% or higher. Every day a student is present strengthens routines, deepens connections with teachers and peers, and maximizes learning opportunities.
As a reminder, if your child will be absent, please be sure to submit the information using our Report an Absence form. Thank you for your continued partnership in prioritizing attendance. Every day truly matters.
Morning Arrival Reminders
Thank you for continuing to show patience, awareness, and care during morning arrival. The majority of our families do an outstanding job modeling calm and respectful interactions, and we truly appreciate that partnership.
A few important reminders to help ensure everyone’s safety:
- If you are in the driving drop-off line, you must remain in your vehicle at all times, even after the tardy bell rings.
- Students should exit the vehicle independently. If your child needs assistance, please pull all the way forward to the designated assistance zone. If staff members have already gone inside, you may park and walk your child to the front office to sign them in.
- Please continue to drive slowly and avoid going around other vehicles in the drop-off line.
We have received a few reports regarding honking, increased speeds, and, at times, interactions between adult drivers that do not reflect the respectful environment we strive to maintain. Our students are watching and learning from the adults around them each day. We kindly ask that you join us in modeling patience, kindness, and safe driving practices during arrival.
Thank you for helping us keep our Leopards safe and for partnering with us to create a positive start to each day.
TELPAS Reminder for Emergent Bilingual Families
All of our students who are Emergent Bilingual received a TELPAS letter last week, and we are sharing this as a friendly reminder.
TELPAS is a state-required assessment that measures students’ progress in learning English in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Students have been practicing at school, and families are welcome to explore practice activities on the TEA website if desired.
All testing begins promptly at 7:45 a.m. on the following dates:
5th Grade: February 19 and 20
3rd Grade: February 23 and 24
4th Grade: February 25 and 26
2nd Grade: March 2 and 3
It is very important that students arrive on time, well rested, and ready to do their best. A good night’s sleep, a healthy breakfast, and a snack can help set them up for success.
Previous TELPAS scores can be viewed in the Home Access Center under Grades → Texas Test Scores.
We are so grateful for our EB team and the way they partner alongside our classroom teachers each day to support our students’ growth. Their dedication and collaboration make a meaningful difference, and we are thankful for the impact they have on our Leopards.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support as our students demonstrate their growth in English language development.

Early Learning Day & 2026–2027 Enrollment
Enrollment for next school year is already open in RRISD. Enrolling early helps us plan ahead for staffing and build strong class rosters, so we encourage families to begin the process as soon as possible. You can learn more about early enrollment and start planning for next year through the district website.
We’re also excited to share that our Early Learning Day for incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten students will take place on March 31. This special event gives our youngest future Leopards a chance to visit, explore, and get excited about school.
Registration details are coming soon. Families can sign up to be notified when registration opens using the link below:

RRISD Climate Survey
Round Rock ISD launched the 2026 Climate Survey on Monday, January 26. A survey link was emailed to the primary parent or guardian on file. If you did not see the email, please be sure to check your spam or junk folder.
The survey will remain open through Sunday, March 1. While participation is voluntary, we strongly encourage all families to take a few moments to complete it. Your feedback plays an important role in shaping both district and campus improvement plans.
We truly value your voice and would love to hear from you as we plan for the future of our school community.
