iReady for 3rd–5th Grade Leopards
Did you know your child has a personalized learning pathway for both Reading Language Arts (RLA) and Math through iReady? 🎯 This platform tailors lessons to each student’s unique strengths and areas for growth, giving them just-right practice to build confidence and mastery.

Our expectation is for all 3rd–5th grade Leopards to:

  • Pass at least two lessons per week in both RLA and Math

  • Complete a minimum of 45 minutes weekly in each subject

We dedicate time at school for iReady practice, but your support at home makes a huge difference! Starting this Friday, families will receive a weekly summary email showing each child’s progress. If your child hasn’t passed their lessons or completed their time for the week, we encourage them to log in at home—the new week and progress count don’t reset until Monday.

Many parents ask how they can best support learning at home. This is a wonderful way to help! iReady is closely aligned with the state standards and provides teachers with actionable data to identify which skills students have mastered and where additional classroom support may be needed.

Please remind your child to complete iReady lessons independently, as this helps teachers accurately measure understanding and provide the right next steps for growth.

Consistent progress on iReady has been shown to directly correlate with higher academic achievement, improved STAAR performance, and greater overall confidence in reading and math. Thank you for partnering with us to help every Leopard reach their full potential

UIL:

Elsa England is ready to start coaching for the McNeil Learning Community UIL Competition! Please use this link if you would like to sign your child up to compete in a UIL Event. This competition is meant to expand on what students learn in their classrooms through the utilization of specific subject knowledge and skills across disciplines. Please note that this competition is only for students in grades 2 through 5, and signing up through this form does not guarantee participation in the program. (Students may only participate in 1 UIL event.) The deadline to sign up is October 31, and if selected, the meet is on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

🧑‍⚕️🐆💙We're Hiring! 🧑‍⚕️🐆💙

RRISD Health Services is looking for a full time Health Records Specialist to assist with routine recordkeeping activities, providing minor illness and first aid care, and conducting health screenings at the campus level. The job is a flex position that will likely be half time at England ES and half time at other campuses in need.  All necessary training is provided.  For more information, please contact Brandy Hafner at brandy_hafner@roundrockisd.org and apply here.

England Site-Based Committee

We are currently forming our England Site-Based Committee! We currently have one parent volunteer. This group includes staff representatives, parents/guardians, community members, and a district representative. We would love to have you join us.

Our first meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 4th from 4:00–5:00 p.m. We will also meet on January 27th, March 24th, and May 5th (all from 4:00–5:00 p.m.).

Your voice is an important part of the success of this committee. Throughout the year, we will discuss topics such as school programs, budget, our Campus Improvement Plan, the EEE Comprehensive Needs Assessment, and bullying prevention protocols, just to name a few.

We welcome both returning and new members! If you’re interested in joining, please email me at krystall_williams@roundrockisd.org. Thank you for considering being part of this important work that helps shape the success of our school community.

Get Involved

  • RRISD Volunteer Application: All family members who plan to help on campus (including field trips) must complete the application each year. Apply here: https://www.roundrockisd.org/o/rrisd/page/volunteer

Your partnership and involvement truly make a difference for every student.

💛 E^3 Volunteer Opportunity: We need helpers for In-School Enrichment, which will take place on 11/14 and 11/21 at 7:45! Parents would be helping get kinder-third graders to their enrichment classes during transitions, and would be in a teacher's enrichment class to help. Being a volunteer for In-School Enrichment helps us to allow every student to be in an enrichment group!

Coffee with the Principal — Tomorrow!
It’s not too late to RSVP and join us! ☕ We’ll be in the library from 8:30–9:15 a.m., and we’d love to see you there for good conversation, updates, and connection.

England Exceptional Experiences (E³) Update
We wrapped up our fourth round of England Exceptional Experiences (E^3) on Friday! Our Leopards are absolutely loving the chance to connect with peers across grade levels while exploring new interests and passions.

Your generous support through the Direct Donation Drive made this possible. Those funds provided the materials that bring our enrichment sessions to life!

A heartfelt thank you to all of our incredible staff and volunteers—families, community members, and students from Round Rock and McNeil High Schools—for showing up each week to make this such a meaningful experience. The smiles, laughter, and excitement across campus say it all!

Updates/Closing Note

Morning Drop-Off Reminders
As a reminder, staff are not on duty to supervise students out front until 7:15 a.m. Though you may see other parents with their children before that time, please know that supervision officially begins at 7:15. It’s important that you stay with your Leopard until staff are on duty to ensure everyone’s safety.

Additionally, if you are driving, please use the car line for drop-off. We’ve had a few near misses due to students being let out on the side of the road, and we want to do everything we can to keep our Leopards safe. Thank you for partnering with us to make sure morning arrival runs smoothly and safely for all!

Attendance & Tardy Spotlight
As promised, here’s our weekly attendance update! 🐾

Our attendance goal for 2025–2026 is 96%, and we’re so close! For the week of October 21–24, our overall attendance rate was 95.92%—great job!
👏 Special shoutout to our 3rd graders who led the way with an impressive 98.45%!

We do understand that illness happens, but consistent attendance is key to helping every Leopard reach their individual goals and have a successful school year.

We also had 275 tardies this week. Our day starts promptly at 7:35. Let’s work together to bring that number down so all students can start their day on time, connected, and ready to learn.

As I reflect on this week and all the interactions with our students, families, community members, and staff, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and inspiration. Thank you for making England such an amazing and welcoming place to be. It truly takes all of us to create the caring, connected community our Leopards enjoy each day.🩵🐆💛
