Elsa England Elementary - Round Rock ISD

Dear England Families,

It was wonderful seeing so many Leopards at Back to School Night! You could feel the excitement in the air, and we can’t wait to officially kick off the school year on Tuesday, August 12th. Here are a few reminders to help ensure a smooth first day. (Please also refer to any communication from your child’s teacher.)

Arrival

  • Doors open at 7:15 a.m.

  • Please expect longer wait times during the first few days as we welcome over 1,000 students and many new families. We’ll be taking time to teach routines and procedures to our fabulous Leopards.

  • Car riders:

    • Pull all the way forward to the first cone. Do not stop in front of the main doors. This allows us to unload multiple students at once and keeps arrival moving efficiently.

    • For everyone’s safety and to keep traffic flowing, do not park and walk up to the school during arrival.

  • Walkers and bikers: Please use designated crosswalks and follow staff directions.

  • PreK families: If your child requires assistance getting out of the car, please pull all the way to the end of the driveway to the designated Assistance Needed Zone. A staff member will help your child at that time while traffic continues to flow through the drop-off line.

Dismissal

  • Dismissal time is 2:55 p.m.

  • Please watch our Dismissal Video for details.

  • Placards were distributed at Back to School Night and also emailed to families. Please have your child’s placard clearly visible for staff to see during dismissal.
