Dear Cedar Valley Families,
Even with a shorter week, Cedar Valley was buzzing with energy, dedication, and school spirit! Our students and staff made the most of every moment, staying focused in the classroom, pushing through their goals, and showing what it means to be part of a hardworking, respectful learning community.
The highlight of the week? Friday’s school dance! It was a fantastic way to end the week, and our cafeteria was filled with laughter, music, and some seriously impressive dance moves. A huge thank you to our choir teacher Mrs. Green, parent volunteers, family donations, and staff chaperones who helped bring the event to life. This event was a great example of what can happen when our community comes together. Your support made it an event to remember!
As we head into next week, let’s carry forward this positive momentum. There’s so much to be proud of and even more to look forward to.
As a reminder from last week, the Panorama Student Survey information is detailed below and was also emailed to families on Friday, September 19. The email includes instructions for how to indicate your child’s participation. Please be sure to review that information if you haven’t already.
Thank you for your continued support in making Cedar Valley a great place to learn and grow. Go Jags!

Parent Action Needed: Panorama Student Survey
Round Rock ISD is committed to the well-being of all our students. Round Rock ISD Board Goal Four measures student perceptions of Sense of Belonging, Safety at School, and Student Self-Efficacy. Since 2023, the district has used a survey from Panorama Education to help us understand these perceptions.
In previous years, parents could opt-out of this survey. However, with the passage of Senate Bill 12, your student must be opted-in for them to participate.
Our district values input from our community and we want to hear from your child(ren) so that we may learn about their experiences. While we encourage your student’s participation in the survey so that we use the data to make informed decisions about increasing our student’s sense of belonging in RRISD, we also believe in your right to make the choice that is best for your student and family.
On September 19, 2025, you should have received an email from Round Rock ISD with the subject line of “Action Required: Panorama Student Survey Consent” The link embedded in the email will take you to a form to either Opt-In or Opt-Out for your student’s participation in the Panorama Survey.
The survey will be administered during the weeks of October 6-17 (Fall Survey) and March 2-13 (Spring Survey). To give your consent for your student to take the survey, please make your selection by September 29, 2025.
