The Cedar Valley staff is extremely thankful to our supportive PTA. The PTA recently showed appreciation for our staff by hosting an apple dipper and apple cider station. It was such a hit and we all loved it. Thank you to everyone who contributed resources and/or time to make this happen. |
Important Reminder of Arrival and Dismissal Safety Procedures |
With over 1,200 students and 120 staff members, the amount of traffic at arrival and dismissal times is heavy. Please help us keep everyone safe by being patient and adhering to these reminders:
Morning Drop Off:
Only on the Racine Trail side of the building (by the cafeteria).
Students may be dropped off curb-side or in the lane that runs through the parking lot. Please remember: Right Turn = Right Lane and Left Turn = Left Lane
If dropped off in the lane that goes through the parking lot, students should go down to the crosswalk near the gym entrance to be assisted across the driveway.
⚠️The Cornerwood Dr. side of the building is reserved for buses and for students requiring special assistance.⚠️
Afternoon Pick Up:
Only on the Racine Trail side of the building, in the lane that runs through the parking lot. Curb-side is for buses only.
⚠️The Cornerwood Dr. side of the building is reserved for students requiring special assistance.⚠️
Additional Safety Tips:
Please avoid dropping off or picking up in the areas designated as "no parking" along the street. This limits visibility of other drivers.
If you are dropping off or picking up in the neighborhood, please ensure your child uses the crosswalks to get to the school. Students should NEVER walk in front of moving cars without the assistance of our wonderful crossing guards.
We ask all adults to model pedestrian safety for our students by also using the crosswalk when arriving and leaving the campus.

Round Rock ISD Clothes Closet Donations |
The Clothes Closet is a project run by the local PTA's of Round Rock ISD. It offers good, gently used clothes to all students in the district who have need. Once per semester, each student can use this service. No referral necessary, just turn up to one of the two locations during opening hours.
In our ongoing support for RRISD's Clothes Closet we are always keen to take your donations of tops, bottoms, jackets/hoodies. Clothes must be in great, clean condition with no tears, stains, bobbling etc.
We also need, NEW ONLY boxer briefs style underwear for girls and boys, plus teen appropriate sports bras. Please deliver to the Jag lobby.
Alternatively, you may wish to support by donating directly using the Amazon wishlist. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2G8VOE7SO1TII?ref_=wl_dp_view_your_list
There is always a need for happy helpers with a "can do" attitude at the Clothes Closet. For more information about what this would entail contact clothescloset@cevmspta.org or sign up directly. Volunteering with the Clothes Closet is a great way to support families in our wider community. No experience necessary. Spanish speaking volunteers are particularly helpful.
