Dear Canyon Creek Families,

It’s been a great week at CCE! Thank you to all our parent volunteers and PTA for leading the charge in creating our Canyon Creek Westwood Homecoming Parade Float! So fun to see everyone at the Hoco parade! I hope you enjoyed all the Homecoming festivities on Wednesday!  

Hard to believe the first day of Fall is Monday! Looking forward to some cooler weather sometime soon. Don’t forget Monday and Tuesday are student holidays. Teachers and staff will be learning but students have the day off! See you back at CCE on Wednesday!

Just a couple safety reminders:

1. Please be aware, at dismissal we still have people exiting the parking lot at Boulder. Please make sure that you are allowing space for vehicles to exit the parking lot as you are lining up for the car rider line. 

2. Please DO NOT exit your car when in the car rider line. 

3. Please make sure you are using the crosswalks and modeling safe walking habits for our students. 

4. ALL electronic devices are prohibited by law. We will allow them to be kept in backpacks, but they must be put away during the school day.

CANYON CREEK NICKNAME PERMISSION FORM

All of our students have now been assigned access to an in-warranty Chromebook and have participated in technology enrichment activies. Along with monthly digital citizenship lessons, Kinder students had AUP and learned the parts of their Chromebooks, 1st grade and AUP and a lesson of a new log-in method, 2nd grade learned how to use Google Classroom and math practice sets, 3rd grade has an upcoming lesson on Google Slides, 4th grade had a STEAM Paper Airplane activity on force & motion and Google Sheets, and 5th grade will have their first of 4 lessons to year their Comet Google Badge!
