Dear Canyon Creek Families,
Happy April! It’s hard to believe we have only seven weeks of school remaining. This time of year brings our testing season, and over the next three weeks, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will participate in STAAR assessments. In addition, all students will complete their final universal screenings in reading and math within the final weeks of school as well.
While this is a busy time academically, we also look forward to many exciting end-of-year activities and celebrations with our students. Please see below for a volunteer opportunity for our field day coming up!
This weekend is our final long holiday weekend of the school year, and we hope you enjoy the extra time with family and friends.
We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday!

CCE Field Day is a whirlwind of smiles and sunshine, featuring energetic activities like tetherball and tug-of-war. Students build teamwork, practice sportsmanship, and celebrate the end of the school year with creative outdoor games.
We need volunteers to help make this day a success!

As we begin planning for the upcoming school year, we ask that you please complete the enrollment form below to indicate your child’s status for next year.
We request a response for all current K–4 students, regardless of whether your child will be returning to Canyon Creek. This information is essential for helping us accurately project enrollment and ensure appropriate staffing to best support our students.

STAAR testing is here! The State Assessment of Academic Readiness, better known as the STAAR test, will be administered April 8th, April 15th, and April 22nd to students in grades 3, 4, and 5.
The testing schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, April 8 Reading Language Arts - Grades 3, 4, 5
Wednesday, April 15 Science - Grade 5
Wednesday, April 22 Math - Grades 3, 4, 5
Please remember:
* Testing will begin first thing in the morning.
* We are testing in every area of the building, so visitors will not be allowed beyond the front office.
