Dear Canyon Creek Families,
We’ve had a wonderful week at CCE as our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students successfully completed all STAAR assessments. We are proud of their hard work and perseverance. In the coming weeks, we will begin administering our universal screeners for all students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
This week also included our final PTA meeting of the year and a fantastic 1st grade Fine Arts performance. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our PTA President, Leslie Kvasnicka, for her leadership and dedication over the past two years. Her commitment has made a lasting impact on our school community.
Our 1st graders had an exciting week as they hosted their “Sip and See,” proudly sharing their baby chicks with classmates and families, and showcased their hard work during their performance. We are so proud of their efforts!
Thank you as well to our PTA for hosting another successful Breakfast with Buddies—it was a wonderful way to wrap up the week.
It’s hard to believe we are nearing the end of April and heading into May. We look forward to finishing the school year strong together. We hope you have a relaxing weekend and we’ll see everyone back at CCE on Monday—only four weeks to go!

Have you volunteered: in the library/art room, chaperoned a school field trip, served as homeroom parent, served at a classroom party or special event, participated in Watch DOGS, worked a PTA event for the school, served Friday Feast meals? Then, this invite is for you! The list is endless of ways you have served the staff and students of CCE! So, the staff of Canyon Creek would like to invite any parent or community member volunteers who served our campus this school year to an appreciation breakfast! Please join us on Wednesday, April 29th from 7:20am - 8:00am. as we celebrate an amazing year together and honor all of you who have given your time to make our school and community such a special place to be! CCE Field Day is a whirlwind of smiles and sunshine, featuring energetic activities like tetherball and tug-of-war. Students build teamwork, practice sportsmanship, and celebrate the end of the school year with creative outdoor games.

CCE Summer Chromebook Request Form
This form is for CCES parents requesting to check out their student's Chromebook for targeted summer learning, classes, or enrichment. All other Chromebooks will be kept safe at school and ready when you return in the fall.
Please complete this signed agreement to the school administration before taking the Chromebook home for the summer break. It will be provided to the student by the last day of school. Any requests after that time will have to go through the front office and can not be guaranteed. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring the safe and responsible use of school-issued technology and balanced/monitored screentime!
Those taking home Chromebooks should set up their GoGuardian Access.for full time at home monitoring (except for those on an RRISD campus for Summer School or enrichment where the teacher will have during-school control)

Westwood High School Cheer is excited to host our first Summer Cheer Camp July 14-16, and we’d love you to join us!The camp is open to incoming Kindergarten through 6th graders and provides a fun opportunity for young cheerleaders to learn skills from our Westwood Cheer team.
