Dear Canyon Creek Families,
It has been a fun and exciting week at CCE! We have successfully completed our first STAAR assessment, with two more to go. Our students and staff did a fantastic job, and we are proud of their hard work and focus.
In addition to testing, our 1st graders have been busy designing and creating brooders in preparation for our baby chicks. They have become wonderful observers, carefully tracking the chicks’ growth during incubation. A special thank you to our amazing volunteers who built the classroom brooders—they look incredible and will provide the perfect first home for our chicks!
We would also like to extend a BIG thank you to our PTA for hosting the final Friday Feast of the year. The spread was amazing, and we truly appreciate the generosity, care, and support you continuously show our staff.
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and look forward to seeing everyone back at CCE on Monday. It’s hard to believe we only have six weeks of school remaining—what an exciting time of year!

CCE Field Day is a whirlwind of smiles and sunshine, featuring energetic activities like tetherball and tug-of-war. Students build teamwork, practice sportsmanship, and celebrate the end of the school year with creative outdoor games.
We need volunteers to help make this day a success!

We request a response for all current K–4 students, regardless of whether your child will be returning to Canyon Creek. This information is essential for helping us accurately project enrollment and ensure appropriate staffing to best support our students.

STAAR testing is here! The State Assessment of Academic Readiness, better known as the STAAR test, will be administered April 8th, April 15th, and April 22nd to students in grades 3, 4, and 5.
The testing schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, April 15 Science - Grade 5
Wednesday, April 22 Math - Grades 3, 4, 5
Please remember:
* Testing will begin first thing in the morning.
* We are testing in every area of the building, so visitors will not be allowed beyond the front office.
