Dear CCE Families,
Thank you for joining in on our Holly Jolly Days! It has been such a joy to see our students and staff celebrate the season with each of the fun dress-up days this week.
We were also treated to a wonderful holiday performance by the Grisham Middle School band, orchestra, and choir. We are so fortunate that GMS continues this tradition each year—it is always a highlight for our campus.
Additionally, we were grateful to welcome three WatchDOGS this week. A BIG thank you to ALL our volunteers for supporting CCE each and every day. Your time and dedication make a meaningful difference.

Safety Concerns - Reminders |
Parents and Guardians,
For the safety of all students, please remember that the parking lot is not a designated drop-off area. Students should not be dropped off in the parking lot under any circumstances.
If you prefer, you are welcome to park your car and walk your child across the crosswalk to the school building.
If the first-grade drop-off line is backed up, you may drive around and use the kindergarten side doors as an alternate drop-off location.

iReady Important Information |
All students are required to complete iReady each week.
Kinder-2nd students are required to complete 2 lessons at a passing rate and complete 30 minutes of iReady Math.
3rd-5th students are required to complete 2 lessons at a passing rate and complete 45 minutes of both iReady Math and iReady Reading.
We try our best to have students complete this requirement at school, however sometimes we might need your support for completion. See below for more information on how to view your student’s progress and how to support them if they need to complete the 2 lessons passing and 45 minutes at home.

🛑 Lost & Found Alert! We Are Overflowing! 🚨 |

Please Claim Your Belongings Before It's Too Late!
Our Lost and Found collection has officially reached critical mass! It's currently overflowing with jackets, water bottles, lunchboxes, mittens, and miscellany that miss their owners dearly. We have so many items that our bins are struggling to contain them all!
Operation Retrieval: Please take a moment to stop by the Lost and Found area. It's located near the main office/front of the school, and check for your student's missing treasures.
A Simple Fix: We highly encourage you to label all belongings with your child's first and last name! This is the single most effective way to ensure items are quickly reunited with their rightful owners.
Final Deadline Reminder: All unclaimed items will be donated to the RRISD Clothes Closet
on Friday, December 19th

Reminders for Event RSVPs & Campus Visitors |
When submitting your RSVP to volunteer for school events—such as field trips, classroom celebrations, or special events (coffee chats,etc) —please make sure to enter your name as it appears on your legal form of identification (driver's license, passport). This helps us speed up the check-in and approval process. Thanks for your support! |
When visiting our school—whether you're picking up a student, meeting with a teacher, joining your child for lunch—please make sure to bring a physical ID with you. Photos of your ID on your phone won’t be accepted. Thanks for helping us keep everyone safe! |

Please bring an unwrapped, brand-new toy for the CCE Brown Santa drive. Toys can be sent to school with your child or dropped off at CCE anytime between now and the Holiday Parties on December 18. A bin will be located near the school's front office until December 18th. All gifts will go to families facing hard times this holiday season, in the hopes of making their spirits bright.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE ATTACH A STICKY NOTE TO YOUR TOY DONATION WITH YOUR TEACHER’S NAME FOR A CCE CLASSROOM COMPETITION. The class with the most toy donations will receive an ice cream party in January!!
Monetary donations to Brown Santa are also appreciated via Venmo (@TCBrownSanta). Please mention CCE in the comments and send a screenshot of your donation to ccebrownsanta@gmail.com.
