Dear Canyon Creek Families,
Happy Veteran’s Day week! At CCE, we are especially grateful to all our Veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice. Thank you for all you have done—and continue to do—for our country and our community.
It’s been a wonderful and busy week at Canyon Creek! Our 5th grade Veteran’s Day Performance was such a special event. A big thank you to Ms. Pagliai and Mrs. Weir for their leadership in our 5th grade fine arts night. We also appreciate Mrs. Bamford and everyone who supported the Book Fair—including families who stopped by during our extended hours. All proceeds go directly toward purchasing new books for our library, and your support makes a big difference!
Our 5th graders also had the opportunity to participate in another author visit at the McNeil PAC, which they truly enjoyed. In addition, we were thrilled to host three WatchDOGS on campus this week—thank you to our dedicated dads for your time, energy, and all your help with our project list. Your involvement means so much to our students and staff.
Finally, a friendly reminder about the importance of regular school attendance. Consistent attendance supports academic success and classroom engagement. Please note that if a student is counted absent from school for the day, they may not participate in after-school events, performances, or clubs. Thank you for helping us uphold this practice and ensuring our students are present and ready to learn.

We’re excited to celebrate our annual Thanksgiving Lunch with our CCE families!
* Guest meals: $5.00 (cash only, exact amount appreciated).
* If you RSVP’d to eat, please bring cash for your meal.
* Arrive early to allow time for parking, check-in, and ticket payment.
* If you live nearby, please walk to campus to help with parking.
*All guests must be adults
* Students may eat outside only with their own parent(s) or teacher.
* Please note: lunch is only 30 minutes.

Do you want to have your child tested for TAG in RRISD?
Please visit the RRISD TAG website to find more information as well as the link for testing referral, which is available as of Monday, November 10th at 8:00 a.m.
The referral window opens Monday, November 10th, at 8:00 AM and closes Friday, December 12th, at 4:30 PM. Late submissions will not be accepted. After submitting your referral, you will receive an email confirmation. Please keep this for your records.

When submitting your RSVP to volunteer for school events—such as field trips, classroom celebrations, or special events (coffee chats,etc) —please make sure to enter your name as it appears on your legal form of identification (driver's license, passport). This helps us speed up the check-in and approval process. Thanks for your support! |

STEAM Night:
If you work for or have connections with a business that would be potentially be interested in participating in our STEAM Night on 1/27/26 from 5-6:15pm at CCE, please reach out to Karen_Connair@roundrockisd.org. It could be sponsoring materials for groups/classes to use or could be a hands on rotation that families visit and learn. **This is not a business fair to sell or simply market materials and no participant information may be collected (aka sign-up sheets)
GoGuardian:
If you are a 4th or 5th grade parent or with MS or HS kids that bring home Chromebooks, you have the ability to manage Chromebook controls at home with the GoGuardian Parent App. If you did not make it to our Coffee Chat, please see this slide with links on information on how to get started!

iReady Important Information |
Kinder-2nd students are required to complete 2 lessons at a passing rate and complete 30 minutes of iReady Math.
3rd-5th students are required to complete 2 lessons at a passing rate and complete 45 minutes of both iReady Math and iReady Reading.
We try our best to have students complete this requirement at school, however sometimes we might need your support for completion. See below for more information on how to view your student’s progress and how to support them if they need to complete the 2 lessons passing and 45 minutes at home.
