October 24, 2025
Dear Canyon Creek Families,
We had a great week celebrating Red Ribbon and Digital Citizenship week filled with FUN dress up days and great messages! It was fun seeing all our students participate, thank you!
We also hosted our 2nd Coffee Chat of the year for our 4th and 5th grade parents. Thank you to all those who came, we had a great turn out! Our participants came prepared with great questions and suggestions that we will work towards! This particular coffee chat was specific for 4th and 5th grade because these are the two grade levels that take chromebooks home. We discussed RRISD provided software Go Guardian and how it can be used at home to ensure safer chromebook use outside of school. Please share your knowledge with other parents and make sure to download the Go Guardian app to support your student with their technology use.
A big thank you to PTA and all the volunteers that took time to create our celebration of Diwali wall. Thank you for the beautiful display and for always sharing the many cultures and traditions of the families in our school.
We are back to a normal 5 day a week schedule! See you back at CCE on Monday!
Enjoy the weekend!

The K-2 students were having Adventure Week in PE working on different fundamental movement skills. We traveled to the ancient city of Canyon Creek looking for the Rings of Power. The kids really enjoy this week and always have a lot of fun! |

iReady Important Information |
Kinder-2nd students are required to complete 2 lessons at a passing rate and complete 30 minutes of iReady Math.
3rd-5th students are required to complete 2 lessons at a passing rate and complete 45 minutes of both iReady Math and iReady Reading.
We try our best to have students complete this requirement at school, however sometimes we might need your support for completion. See below for more information on how to view your student’s progress and how to support them if they need to complete the 2 lessons passing and 45 minutes at home.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOU SUPPORT WITH THIS!
