Notes from the CCES Office & Admin |
January 23, 2026 Dear CCE Families, Wow—another great week at CCE! While it may have been a short week, it was certainly full of learning. Kindergarten enjoyed engaging presentations from Keep Austin Beautiful, students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade worked hard on their Reading Interim exams, and our UIL practices continued after school.
A big thank you to our PTA for the popcorn and soda bar—it was a fun and much-appreciated way to start the week for our staff! As colder, wetter weather moves in this weekend, we hope you all stay warm and safe. RRISD will share important updates if inclement weather impacts our school schedule on Monday.
To learn more about RRISD’s weather protocols, visit our Inclement Weather webpage. Take care, The CCE Team |

NO change in Transition Meeting – Weather Contingency Plan |
|
| Hello 5th Grade Families, We are planning to move forward with our Middle School Transition Meeting as scheduled on Monday, January 26th at 7:45 a.m. at CCE.
In the event of a two-hour delay or a school day cancellation, the meeting will be rescheduled for Thursday, January 29th at 7:45 a.m. at CCE. While we are hopeful that no changes will be necessary, we wanted to proactively share our backup plan so families can plan accordingly. Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we help prepare our 5th graders for their transition to middle school. Warm regards, The CCE and GMS Teams |
GoGuardian / Beacon After Hours and Non-Instructional Day Notifications |
To support student safety, digital citizenship, and social-emotional well-being, Round Rock ISD partnered with GoGuardian this fall to implement the Beacon digital monitoring system. Beacon helps district and campus staff monitor student online activity during the school day to identify potential safety concerns and provide timely support when needed.
School-day monitoring hours in Beacon are 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on instructional days. On those non-instructional days, district staff will not actively monitor Beacon notifications.
Outside of school hours, and during weekends, holidays, and school breaks, parents and guardians may continue monitoring their student’s online activity by using the GoGuardian Parent Mobile App. The Beacon system allows district staff and parents to view: - Student online browsing activity, and - Activity within the student’s district Google account. When enabled, Beacon generates notifications for online activity that may indicate that a student could benefit from additional support.
Parent Monitoring Encouraged Parents and guardians are encouraged to download the GoGuardian Parent App to continue monitoring their students’ online activity during Winter Break and throughout the year outside of school hours or on non-instructional days. Thank you for partnering with us to support student safety and well-being, both online and offline.

When visiting our school—whether you're picking up a student, meeting with a teacher, joining your child for lunch—please make sure to bring a physical ID with you. Photos of your ID on your phone won’t be accepted. Thanks for helping us keep everyone safe! |
