Hello, Blackland Prairie Families,
As we continue growing as leaders, we are focusing on Habit #2: Begin with the End in Mind. This habit encourages our students to think about their goals and make a plan to achieve them. At home, families can support this by talking with your child about their goals, whether it’s improving in a subject, practicing a skill, or working on a personal habit. Encourage them to think about what success looks like and the steps they can take to get there. Even simple conversations like, “What is your goal for this week?” can help build this important mindset.
We are so proud of our Pre-K and Kindergarten students for leading our Habit Rally, where they taught us all about Habit #7: Sharpen the Saw. They did an incredible job reminding us how important it is to take care of our bodies, minds, hearts, and souls by finding balance in our lives. It was a joyful and meaningful event for our entire school!
Thank you to everyone who shared kind words and thoughtful sentiments on National Principals Day. It truly meant so much! It was especially fun seeing our students dressed as royalty. It brought so many smiles and made the day extra special.
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers who have helped decorate our campus. Your time and creativity have made our school feel even more welcoming and uplifting as we head into the final stretch of the school year. We are so grateful for each of you! Thank you as well to those who joined us for our volunteer appreciation breakfast this morning. We truly appreciate your partnership and support. Blackland Prairie would not be the same without you.
We are looking forward to an exciting week ahead with Leadership Day and Muffins with Moms next Friday. We can’t wait to celebrate our students and the wonderful families who support them every day!
As always, stay safe and take care out on the Prairie!
